  7.     You have landed on a distant
  8. planet. As you fly your lander module
  9. over the surface of the planet, you
  10. see your fellow astronauts drifting
  11. through space. There's only one thing
  12. to do. You must manuever your craft
  13. into their path so they can grab on
  14. and climb to safety.
  15.  
  16.     The object of C-64 RESCUE is to
  17. use your lunar lander to rescue as
  18. many astronauts as you can in a
  19. limited amount of time.
  20.  
  21.     Use your joystick in Port #2 to
  22. control your lander. The firebutton
  23. increases your altitude. Pushing the
  24. joystick forward will move your craft
  25. toward the mountains. Releasing the
  26. button will allow gravity to pull you
  27. back towards the surface. Pulling your
  28. joystick back will move you away from
  29. the mountains. Pressing the joystick
  30. left or right will move you in the
  31. corresponding direction (left right).
  32.  
  33.     When the timer (in the bottom
  34. right corner of the screen) reaches
  35. zero, the game is over.  Your score is
  36. shown in the bottom middle of the
  37. screen.

  39.     Pressing the 'Q' key while playing
  40. a game will QUIT the program. Pressing
  41. the 'P' key will PAUSE the game.
